Quaker parrots - legal or not legal in your states
From Quaker Parakeet Society - legal, illegal & restricted states listing
Quaker parrot (myiopisitta monachus) is also known as monk parrakeet. They come from the subtropical climate of Argentina, Brazil & surrounding countries.
They are very hardy parrots and adapt well to new environments. There are thousands of feral quakers here in Florida. They also survive in many states including California, Lousiana, Texas, New York...
Quaker parrots and male indian ringnecks are two of the best talking in the small size parrots. Handfed & well socialized are very easy going, confident & fairly easy to take care.
They also are very social parrots & go with everyone in a household. However, basic trainning of step up command is a must, to live peaceful with these amazing birds.
